Mentoring is the key to a strong and committed workforce. The importance of mentoring within the Russell Taylor organisation to create a strong and committed workforce was echoed at a major awards ceremony on Merseyside.
Russell Taylor Group sponsored the Workplace Mentor of the Year category at the Progress to Excellence Training and Education Awards 2016 held at the Liverpool Crowne Plaza.
Group chairman Peter Russell presented the trophy to Katy Lennon, principal quality officer at Progress to Excellence, who was singled out for the accolade due to the support and encouragement she gives colleagues to strive to be the best as well as bringing compassion, knowledge and commitment to her job.
Peter said: “Katy is a shining example of mentoring in the workplace to bring out the best in everyone.
“Her attitude and commitment to the most important part of the business – its people - is at the heart of the Russell Taylor Group ethos. A strong and loyal workforce pays high dividends as our year-on-year growth figures show.
“Training and education is integral to our operations and we are immensely proud of our record of delivering internal apprenticeships as part of our vision to nurture and grow young talent.”
