Russell Taylor Group is working with a Global Testing Company who are looking to appoint a EV Test Technician who will be operating multiple test rigs, supporting the installation and calibration of systems, and supporting complex electronic systems whilst maintaining high workplace standards.
The Role:
• Operate on the powertrain test rigs for external clients
• Be involved with project set-ups and test cell operation.
• Operating multiple complex test rigs outside of typical hours using specialised test methods
• Supporting the installation and calibration of data acquisitions systems.
• Ensure all instrumentation used is calibrated to the companies' rigorous procedures.
• Assist in the debugging and development of complicated electronic systems with high-speed serial interfaces.
• Support rig or Cell operation and installation with both mechanical and electrical assembly & disassembly tasks with a keen awareness of the company's electrical system standards.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and colleagues in a professional manor to develop a strong & productive relationship.
The Person:
• Masters' qualification in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline with industry experience or experience from a mechanical background
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients.
• Highly motivated with a strong ambition to succeed.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Good at maintaining consistent paperwork and documentation.
• Adaptable with the ability to learn quickly.
• Machining knowledge with the ability to interpret CAD drawings for rigging purposes.
• Confidence with I.T Systems
